UBIQUITI LOCO-M5 to kompaktowy punkt dostępowy pracujący w paśmie 5 GHz z zintegrowaną anteną o zysku 13 dBi i konfiguracją 2x2 MIMO. Urządzenie obsługuje standardy IEEE 802.11a oraz IEEE 802.11n, oferując transmisję do 150 Mbps i możliwością zestawienia łączy na dużą odległość.

Wyposażone jest w procesor Atheros MIPS 24KC 400 MHz oraz pamięć 32 MB SDRAM i 8 MB FLASH, co zapewnia stabilne działanie systemu operacyjnego AirOS i wsparcie dla trybów Station, Station WDS, Access Point oraz Access Point WDS. Interfejs sieciowy to 1 x 10/100 Mbps.
