List of gaming desk safety warnings based on the requirements of General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR): 1. Desk stability: * Make sure your desk is stable and stands on level ground. An unstable desk can tip over, causing damage to the body. * Do not overload the desk with excessive weight. Check the maximum load specified by the manufacturer. 2. Cable management: * Secure cables from electronic devices to avoid tripping and other accidents. Use cable organizers, baseboards or other cable management solutions. 3. Ergonomics: * Adjust the height of your desk and chair to ensure an ergonomic sitting position. Poor posture can lead to back problems and other ailments. * Use a wrist pad to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome. 4. Sharp edges and elements: * Check that the desk does not have sharp edges or protruding elements that could cause cuts. Secure them if necessary. 5. Materials and finish: * Make sure that the materials from which the desk is made are safe and non-toxic. Avoid desks with a finish that can give off harmful substances. * Clean your desk surface regularly to remove dust and other debris that can cause allergies. 6. Use by children: * If the desk is used by children, make sure it is suitable for their height and abilities. Protect your desk from tipping over, especially if children tend to climb. 7. Installation and Maintenance: * Follow the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer. Incorrect installation can lead to instability and accidents. * Regularly check the condition of your desk and tighten the screws to ensure its stability. 8. Lighting: * Provide adequate desk lighting to avoid eye strain. Use a desk lamp with adjustable brightness and angle of light. 9. Desk position: * Place the desk in a place where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight or moisture. 10. Storage: * Store your unused desk in a dry and safe place, away from heat and moisture sources.
