List of Steering Wheel Safety Warnings based on the requirements of General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR): * Injury risk: Make sure the steering wheel is properly attached and compatible with your computer/console model. Improper attachment can lead to the steering wheel disconnecting during use and cause loss of control in the game. * Ergonomics and fatigue: During prolonged use of the steering wheel, take regular breaks to avoid fatigue and potential injuries associated with repetitive exercise (RSI). Position the steering wheel and seat in an ergonomic position to minimize muscle tension. * Wire Hazards: If the steering wheel is wired, make sure the wires are properly arranged to avoid tripping and damage. Wires should not be exposed to bending or twisting, which can lead to internal damage and potential connection problems. * Compatibility and voltage: Use only accessories and power supplies recommended by the steering wheel manufacturer. Connecting incompatible devices can lead to electrical damage, overheating or fire. * Age restrictions and supervision: Handlebars that have foot pedals should be used by people with adequate height and motor coordination to avoid accidents. Pay attention to the minimum recommended age of the player. Young children should be supervised during use. * Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean the steering wheel and pedals to prevent dust and dirt from accumulating, which can affect the operation of the device. Use only gentle cleaning agents and avoid contact with moisture. * Storage: When the steering wheel is not in use, store it in a dry and safe place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Make sure the wires are properly secured to avoid damage. * Software Updates: Regularly check for software updates (firmware) for the steering wheel and install them according to the manufacturer's instructions. Outdated software can lead to malfunctions or vulnerabilities. * Disposal: Do not dispose of used electrical appliances together with household waste. Return them to the e-waste collection point for recycling.
